Over the past 12 months, Gundo has been working as interim legal counsel at Bejo. Als inkoopmanager bij Bejo merk ik dat het maken van goede afspraken steeds belangrijker word. Waar bij wijze van spreken eerder een handdruk voldoende was om een afspraak te bezegelen zien we dat dit tegenwoordig veelal gepaard gaat met de nodige documentatie. Steeds vaker werken we vanuit Inkoop dan ook samen met onze collega’s van Juridische Zaken

In mei 2024 kwam Gundo het team van Juridische Zaken op interim basis bij Bejo versterken. In het afgelopen jaar heb ik dan ook veel en intensief met hem samengewerkt.

De samenwerking met Gundo is me uitstekend bevallen. Vooropgesteld is hij een prettige persoonlijkheid. Daarnaast kan hij goed juridische vraagstukken in “Jip en Janneketaal” uitleggen wat mij hielp om de juiste keuzes te maken.

In onze samenwerking lag de focus op het aangaan van leveranciersovereenkomsten en het omgaan met inkoop- & verkoopvoorwaarden. Hier hebben we het afgelopen jaar flinke stappen in gezet waarbij ik ook veel van Gundo heb geleerd.

Gundo gaat Bejo binnenkort verlaten maar ik kan een ieder aanraden om hem in te huren wanneer er juridische expertise benodigd is.

I worked with Gundo when he came to Europe relatively recently from South Africa. He already had experience as a lawyer in South Africa and joined my team for his first job as a lawyer in Germany. We have worked on numerous transactions: he has managed due diligence projects and prepared reports, drafted company purchase agreements and conducted negotiations together with me. He also worked intensively in international commercial law, drafting and reviewing supply contracts, cooperation agreements, joint venture agreements – everything you need for cross-border trade.

Hiring Gundo was a great success for us: the collaboration was fun; he supported us perfectly: fast, uncomplicated, nice, linguistically perfect with the background of a lawyer trained in South-African/English law.
